Product Description
The connecting rod of a gas reciprocating compressor is a key transmission component, mainly used to connect the crankshaft and the piston assembly, convert the rotary motion of the crankshaft into the reciprocating linear motion of the piston, and transmit the loads generated during the gas compression process to the crankshaft system. The crank connecting rod operates for a long time under high-speed, high-load, and alternating force conditions; therefore, its structural strength, material properties, and machining precision have a decisive impact on the operating stability, reliability, and service life of the compressor.
During operation, the con rod simultaneously bears multiple composite loads, including tensile, compressive, bending, and inertial forces, and is subjected to frequent stress alternations. As a result, higher requirements are imposed on its fatigue resistance, dimensional consistency, and dynamic balance performance. A high-quality link rod can effectively reduce vibration and noise of the entire equipment, minimize abnormal wear between the bearing bush and the crankshaft, and ensure stable operation of the compressor under long-term continuous working conditions.

Product Inspection
Dial Indicator Inspection (Hole Diameter and Geometric Tolerance)
After the fine machining of the piston connecting rod is completed, a dial indicator is used to inspect the hole diameter as well as the geometric and positional tolerances of the big-end hole and small-end hole.
The compressor connecting rod is mounted on a dedicated inspection fixture, and the workpiece is slowly rotated while observing the dial indicator readings. Through this method, the roundness, cylindricity, and coaxiality of the holes are checked to ensure that the hole accuracy meets the design and assembly requirements.
·Hole diameter measurement: The hole diameter is checked to confirm that it falls within the tolerance range specified on the drawing.
·Roundness inspection: The probe is inserted into the hole and measurements are taken at multiple circumferential positions to evaluate whether the hole cross-section is circular and to identify any deformation such as ovality.
·Cylindricity inspection: The probe is moved along the axial direction of the hole inner wall to verify whether the bore is straight and uniform over its full length, and to detect deviations such as taper or local bulging.
