Product Overview & Design
Steam turbine gland packing is the core sealing components of the steam turbine unit's lubrication system. The product adopts a composite structure combining traditional skeleton-type and lip seals. The core sealing material is made of oil-resistant nitrile rubber (NBR) or fluororubber (FKM), paired with a 45# steel reinforcement skeleton and wear-resistant alloy steel contact surfaces, achieving a balance of good elasticity and structural rigidity. It features a flexible sealing lip and spiral oil groove design. The sealing lip is made of fluororubber (FKM) or perfluororubber (FFKM), with a micro spiral groove machined at the lip (the oil guiding direction is opposite to the shaft rotation direction). This utilizes centrifugal force to guide the lubricating oil back into the oil tank.
Function & Application
The steam turbine-specific oil seals produced by our company carry forward classic structural designs and mature manufacturing techniques. They are tailor-made for various steam turbines used in thermal power generation, marine applications, and other fields, precisely preventing lubricant leakage and the ingress of external dust and moisture, thereby establishing a robust protective barrier for the safe and stable operation of the rotor shafting system.

Specifications
The sealing lip undergoes precision grinding, forming an effective sealing band in contact with the journal surface. Compatible with shaft diameters ranging from 80 to 355 mm, the seals can withstand operating temperatures from -20°C to 120°C, capably handling diverse conditions such as turbine start-up, shutdown, and steady-state operation.
The manufacturing process strictly adheres to the GB/T 28723-2023 national standard and DIN sealing standards. Through multiple procedures including mold pressing, high-temperature vulcanization, and precision grinding/polishing, dimensional accuracy and sealing reliability are ensured.
Performance & Lifespan
The product's leakage rate is controlled within superior industry standards, and it features outstanding wear resistance. Under normal operating conditions, the service life can exceed 18,000 hours, effectively reducing the frequency of downtime for maintenance.
Installation & Usage
Installation employs traditional split-type or solid designs, adapting to various axial mounting spaces on steam turbines. Disassembly and maintenance are convenient, requiring no complex specialized tools.
Widely used in critical sealing areas such as the high/intermediate-pressure cylinder, low-pressure cylinder, and generator end of steam turbines, our product has gained market trust over the long term thanks to its traditional strengths of "reliable sealing, durable materials, and easy installation." It has become the trusted choice for numerous power plants and heavy industrial enterprises.

A reciprocating compressor is a critical industrial machine that converts mechanical energy into gas pressure energy. It is widely used in industries such as petrochemicals, food and pharmaceuticals, electronics and semiconductors, and hydrogen energy. In March 2026, a Chinese manufacturer successfully achieved mass production of a Class 0 oil-free reciprocating compressor, breaking the long-standing monopoly of overseas companies in high-end oil-free sealing technologies.
As industrial digitalization and intelligent transformation accelerate, the reciprocating compressor, as a core piece of equipment in industrial production, has become a key focus for enterprises seeking higher operational efficiency and improved system reliability.
A steam turbine is the core power equipment that converts high-temperature steam thermal energy into mechanical energy. It serves as a critical component in industries such as thermal power generation, nuclear energy, and petrochemicals.
Replacing a Thrust Bearing is often treated as a simple maintenance task, but in real industrial equipment it is rarely that simple.
Many bearing problems do not begin after months of operation. They begin on the day the part is installed.
A failing Thrust Bearing rarely goes from normal operation to complete damage in one step. More often, the warnings appear gradually: a little more heat, more noise, rougher running, or a small change in axial position.

A rotating machine is never only about turning speed. Inside the system, axial force, heat, and lubrication conditions are constantly changing.
A machine may run smoothly for a long time and still develop one serious issue: unwanted axial movement. When a shaft shifts in the wrong direction, rotor position becomes unstable, or metal surfaces begin to wear faster than expected, the problem often points to the Thrust Bearing.
